Case 10 · Ship day

Read the room while the room is still talking.

A launch generates more public reaction in six hours than the rest of the quarter. Most of it is never read by the team that shipped it.

You hire him. He reads the public internet. You keep the judgement.

The Acme v2 migration guide is genuinely good. Took me eleven minutes end to end.

    Praise

Most of this never enters a dashboard.

On launch day everyone refreshes a different tab, the same thread gets sent to the group chat four times, and the one comment that spotted a real bug is buried under congratulations. Afterwards nobody can say what actually landed.

The retro should be a query, not a memory exercise.

Three plays

Ways to turn mentions into work.

  • Raise the cadence for the day

A monitor that keeps finding new mentions is scanned more often automatically. Launch day is exactly when that pays.

  • Split the celebration from the signal

Two hundred "congrats" posts and three bug reports arrive together. Category and urgency separate them without a human triaging.

New Acme pricing page says unlimited but the docs still list a cap. Which is it?

  • Write the retro from data

Filter by category over the launch window and the retro is a query, not a memory exercise.

Order and method

Track the keyword.Act on the signal.

  1. Drop the launch keywords.

Product name, version, campaign phrase, founder — the words the room will actually type.

  3. Signal rises above congratulations.

Category and urgency split three bug reports from two hundred “nice”.

MCP and the API are on every plan, including the trial. A webhook can fire when a mention is filed. Nothing replies in your name.

A letter of retainer

How Buaro keeps this brief

“On the day you ship, everyone refreshes a different tab. I keep one file, and I put the bug above the bouquet.”
— M. Buaro, Consulting listener
  • Raise the round when the monitor is busy.
  • Separate celebration from a real defect.
  • Leave you a window you can query afterwards.

Questions about launch monitoring.

01How quickly does a mention appear?

Active monitors are swept every four hours, and a mention is classified within a few minutes of collection. It is fast enough to reply while a thread is still live, not fast enough to be a live feed.

02Can I get launch-day alerts on my phone?

Set an alert to a webhook and point it at whatever already reaches your phone. Email works too, but a chat webhook is what most teams use on the day.

03What does HerculeRadar monitor?

Public mentions across X, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn and Threads for the keywords you put in a monitor: product, brand, competitors, founder name, feature names, or the phrases your customers actually use. Active monitors are swept every four hours.

04Do people need to tag my account?

No. Matching is on the keywords you track, so a conversation can mention the product without ever tagging you.

05What counts as a mention?

A public post, reply, thread or comment that matches a tracked keyword or alias. Duplicates are collapsed so you are not reviewing the same signal twice.

06How do alerts work?

Email, Telegram or a signed webhook when a mention matches a rule you set — category, urgency, source. Nothing is auto-replied.

07Can an AI agent watch this for me?

Yes. MCP and the API are on every plan, including the trial. A webhook can fire on mention.created; the agent reads the rest through MCP with the same permissions as the dashboard.
