Acme checkout has been 500ing for twenty minutes. Status page still green. Anyone else?
Case 11 · When the pile is the story
Wake a person when the volume is the story.
A single angry post is a ticket. A sudden pile of them is a crisis. The difference is the rate, not the keyword.
You hire him. He reads the public internet. You keep the judgement.

Bug report
Most of this never enters a dashboard.
Urgency on one mention tells you that post is loud. It does not tell you the keyword just tripled. Teams find out from a screenshot in Slack, hours after the window to reply in public has closed.

One loud post is a ticket. A sudden pile is a crisis.
02
The window to reply in public closes before the status page moves.
03
Wake a person on email; wake an agent on a webhook.
Three plays
Ways to turn mentions into work.
Watch the rate, not only the post
A spike rule fires when mention volume for a monitor jumps versus the day before — the same job Mention sells as a spike alert, on the sources we actually collect.
@oncall_sam·X4mBug report5127Wake a human, or an agent
Email and Telegram interrupt a person. A signed webhook (including a Slack incoming URL) wakes whatever already sits on the on-call channel.
u/ops_kate·Reddit11mThird thread this hour about Acme billing. Something is on fire.
Complaint2912File before you reply
Category and urgency still split a pile of pile-ons from three real bug reports. Reply to the three. Watch the rest.
Stack Clinic·YouTube18mComments under the Acme review are a graveyard this morning. Something broke.

Decide who wakes.
Email and Telegram for a person. Slack incoming webhook or mention.spike for an agent. Nobody auto-replies.

For the software that already reads your mail
Hand the reading to an agent.Keep the reply.
MCP and the API are on every plan, including the trial. A webhook can fire when a mention is filed. Nothing replies in your name.
A letter of retainer
How Buaro keeps this brief
“I do not need a million sources. I need to know that this hour is not like the last one.”
- Count the mentions, not only score them.
- Wake whoever you named — a person or an agent.
- Keep the original links so the reply happens where the fire is.
Plans
Ten free mentions. Then a ceiling, not a surprise.
Your first 10 mentions are free. You pay for monitors, not a pile of keywords. Hit the cap and collection pauses — it never bills overage.

Questions about crisis monitoring.
01How is a spike different from an urgency alert?
Urgency is about one post. A spike is about the count: this keyword produced several times more mentions than the previous window. Both can fire. A crisis is usually the count.
02Can this go to Slack?
Yes. Create an alert with channel Slack and paste an incoming-webhook URL, or subscribe a signed endpoint to mention.spike. We do not run a Slack app; the URL is the integration.
03What does HerculeRadar monitor?
Public mentions across X, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn and Threads for the keywords you put in a monitor: product, brand, competitors, founder name, feature names, or the phrases your customers actually use. Active monitors are swept every four hours.
04Do people need to tag my account?
No. Matching is on the keywords you track, so a conversation can mention the product without ever tagging you.
05What counts as a mention?
A public post, reply, thread or comment that matches a tracked keyword or alias. Duplicates are collapsed so you are not reviewing the same signal twice.
06How do alerts work?
Email, Telegram or a signed webhook when a mention matches a rule you set — category, urgency, source. Nothing is auto-replied.
07Can an AI agent watch this for me?
Yes. MCP and the API are on every plan, including the trial. A webhook can fire on mention.created; the agent reads the rest through MCP with the same permissions as the dashboard.
