YouTube monitoring
Catch the review video before your customers do.
A single video can outweigh a month of posts. We watch titles and descriptions through the official YouTube Data API.
- Indie Stack Weekly·YouTube1h
Acme is the one tool from this stack I would actually pay for out of pocket.

How we read it
The mechanism, stated plainly.
Unlike X and Reddit, YouTube is read through the official Data API rather than a scraper — it is free at our volume, stable, and keeps us inside YouTube’s terms.
Coverage
What is collected — and what is not.
- Video titles
- Video descriptions
- Channel name and link
- Views, likes and comment counts
- Comment search is not offered by the API globally, so comments are not covered in the MVP.
- Very new uploads can take a few minutes to appear in API search results.
Plans
Ten free mentions. Then a ceiling, not a surprise.
Your first 10 mentions are free. You pay for monitors, not a pile of keywords. Hit the cap and collection pauses — it never bills overage.

FAQ
Source-specific questions.
- Why is YouTube handled differently?
- Because an official API exists and is better than scraping: cheaper, more stable and permitted. Our provider layer lets each source use whatever mechanism is actually best.
- Do YouTube mentions get AI categories?
- Yes, based on the title and description we are permitted to process. Videos with thin descriptions are classified less confidently.
